Is there a setup fee?
No. There are no setup fees on any plan, and every plan starts with a 30-day free trial. You can cancel anytime.
Do you help us get set up?
Yes — every plan includes free, end-to-end onboarding. Our team sets up your platform with you: we migrate your website content, import your students and families, rebuild your courses and programs, and configure admissions and billing so you launch ready to enroll.
Can you migrate our data from our current system?
Yes. We regularly migrate schools from spreadsheets, student information systems, learning platforms like Canvas and Thinkific, and existing websites — including course content, rosters, products, and pages. Migration is handled by our team as part of free onboarding.
How long does it take to launch?
Most schools are live within a week or two. A simple setup can be ready in days; larger migrations with years of course content take a little longer. You can keep running your current system until your DeanDesk platform is ready.
Can I use my own domain name?
Yes. You can map your own custom domain (e.g., portal.yourschool.org) so families and students stay on your brand.
Is the mobile app included?
Yes, every organization gets access to the DeanDesk mobile app, with custom branded apps available for schools that want their own.

Does DeanDesk work for families with young children?
Yes. Parents get their own accounts linked to their children, so they can apply, enroll, pay tuition, and receive every notification on their child's behalf. Children without email addresses are fully supported.
Can we run multiple schools or campuses under one organization?
Yes. An organization can operate multiple platforms — separate campuses, programs, or brands — each with its own website, enrollment, and billing, managed from one place.
Do we need to be a full-time school to use DeanDesk?
Not at all. Many DeanDesk organizations are supplementary programs, online course providers, or adult-education academies. You choose which parts of the platform you use — admissions, classes, billing, community, or all of it.
Payments & financials
What kinds of payments can we collect?
Tuition (one-time or recurring), application and enrollment fees, membership plans, donations, invoices, and even physical products like uniforms and books — all through your own branded checkout.
How do payouts work?
We use Stripe for secure payments. Tuition, fees, and donations are deposited directly into your connected bank account on a rolling basis — DeanDesk never holds your money.
Can families pay tuition in installments?
Yes. You can offer recurring billing and subscription-style payment plans, so families can pay monthly instead of all at once. Billing runs automatically once a family enrolls.
Can we offer discounts and financial aid?
Yes. You can create discount codes, automatic rule-based discounts (like sibling discounts), and per-family financial aid rates that apply across tuition.
How are refunds handled?
Refunds are issued right from your admin dashboard and processed back to the family's original payment method through Stripe.
Can we track and pay our teachers?
Yes. DeanDesk includes payroll tools for tracking teacher hours and rates per course, reviewing and approving pay periods, and exporting payroll records for your bookkeeper or payroll provider.
What does financial reporting look like?
Your finance dashboard shows revenue, transactions, subscriptions, and payouts in one place, with detailed records for reconciliation — so you always know exactly what came in and from whom.
