The LMS module facilitates the creation, delivery, and management of courses and educational content.

Course Management

Creating a New Course

  1. Go to "Courses" > "Create New Course"
  2. Enter course details such as title, description, and instructors
  3. Add relevant course materials using the file upload option
  4. Click "Save Course"

Enrolling Students in Courses

  1. From the course details page, navigate to the "Enrollment" tab
  2. Add students individually or in bulk

Tip: You can also use the Bulk Enrollment tool in the Admin Dashboard to enroll multiple students across multiple courses simultaneously.

Gradebook and Assignments

The gradebook allows instructors and administrators to track student performance.

Managing Assignments

Create, edit, and assign due dates for assignments in the "Assignments" section of each course.

Assignment Features

  • Due Dates: Set clear deadlines for student submissions
  • Descriptions: Provide detailed instructions and requirements
  • Supporting Materials: Attach files, links, and resources
  • Grading: Grade submissions directly within DeanDesk

Entering Grades

Use the "Gradebook" to input and manage grades for all students.

Every course in DeanDesk includes the following features:

Course Page

Each course gets its own course dashboard that students, teachers, and instructors can view. It displays:

  • Announcements
  • Schedule
  • Instructor details
  • Materials
  • Assignments

Materials Drive

A dedicated cloud-backed drive where instructors can upload files and materials such as:

  • Classroom slides
  • Textbooks
  • Supplementary readings
  • Reference materials

Announcements

Teachers can give course announcements, and every student will receive:

  • An email notification
  • A notification on the DeanDesk school site
  • A push notification if they are logged into the app

Student Information Management

A dashboard for teachers to track:

  • Student enrollment in the course
  • Attendance records
  • Final grades at the end of the course
